An epic battle is on the horizon and the end of the world looms near. With such insurmountable odds stacked against them, is their love really enough to conquer all?

My Review

This is the 4th and final book in the Soul Seekers Series and so I will try not to make it spoilery but things might slip.

So one thing I’ve noticed about Alyson Noel’s characters, especially the main girls like Daire is they often start out very immature. I admit in Fated Daire kind of got under my skin, being whiny and ridiculous. Me wanting to scream don’t you get the danger you are in but in Horizon Daire is actually very mature. I loved a lot of things about her character but most of all her faith in love and in Dace. She never wavered even when all her friends were trying persuade her otherwise. Even when those close to Dace were trying to. I loved the dedication she showed. I also loved how she has such a mature perspective too. She looks at things how they are, even when she doesn’t want to. So I would have to say that there some great character development and growth.

I don’t want to say too much about Dace but he’s fighting something that’s bound to catch up with him.

As far as the rest of characters what’s not to like. They were all supportive and good friends and even when they were trying to get Daire to give up on certain things, they still stood by her. Even when they though her ideas and plans might be insane they still helped. I love her relationship with her mom and despite them having some issues at times it’s such a strong bond. Nice to see and I love her mom goes into her mamma bear mode.

The plot is of course kind of showdown. Everything has been building to this point, a final battle will have to ensue even though there might be a calm before the storm. I actually thought the Rabbit Hole reminded me a lot of the Death Star, first one gets blown up and they rebuild. Making it even cooler or do they. The plot moved swiftly and I felt like things we summed up well. Plenty of action and heartbreak which all epic conclusions need to have. I actually really really like the ending. The epilogue to be exact. I think it was absolutely perfect and fitting because there has to be balance. There is always a balance.

It’s a well done and solid final installment in my opinion and if you are fan of the series I think you will definitely be happy with it.

Dream Cast

I decided to ignore eye color because everyone in the story seems to have really unique colors and I was like there is now way I can match that. They can all wear contacts :)

Daire

Dace/Cabe
Tyler Posey

I had a hard time picturing the other characters except for Axel. I saw a trailer for Thor while I was reading and for some reason Chris Hemsworth reminded me of him. Even though he's probably too old but then I couldn't get that image out of my head.
